CLN DATA CENTRE, DUBLIN PHASE 3 Main Contractor: Mace Technology Limited Client: Private Architect: Cundall Structural Engineer: Cundall Following on from successfully completing the works for Phase 1 and Phase 2, J Coffey was appointed to carry out further works for Phase 3 of the programme to further expand the Data Centre in Clonee, County Meath, Ireland. Phase 3 consisted of a single bar data hall building with associated distribution and administration space. 28,320 sqm. The Data Centre will continue to be one of the most advanced, energy efficient data centres in the world and will be supported by 100% renewable energy. A comprehensive approach to sustainable design and construction, including energy and water conservation, responsible material sourcing and waste reduction, helped the existing buildings at Clonee earn LEED Gold certification and win Ireland’s Green Construction Award. J Coffey Construction were appointed to carry out the following works: • Bulk excavation quantities of approximately 280,000m³ of excavations and 170,000m³ of fill; • Concrete foundations, footings and precast units to Data Building • Associated services including; Foul/surface drainage systems, attenuation ponds/tanks, rising mains • 110km of ducting including fibre, security, public lighting, LV and MV ducting Groundworks Package • 3km of 355mm watermain Groundworks Package • 29,000 m2 FM2 and FM3 • 10,000m² of Concrete Generator yard slabs • Design & Build of all precast units; 130nr utility chambers & circa 2km of precast beams to building • Road paved works of 18,000m² • Hard landscaping pavements 12,000m²
